News from the
President……
FROM THE TO-BE
HAS-BEEN PRESIDENT…
After I get
back from the IREM National meetings in Chicago on November 3rd, I
will have the privilege of inducting your new officers, Mike
McConnell, CPM, Robin Stinson, CPM, and Steve Jankowski, CPM, as
president, president-elect, and secretary-treasurer,
respectively. Therefore, this is my last time to use this
column to speak my mind.
It may seem
like it’s a hard job. Being president of the IREM chapter
involves juggling many tasks at one time. However, none is as
difficult as coming up with something brilliant (or humorous) to
write about for twelve months in a row. If it happened once or
twice, I figure I did well.
Instead of
going on about how much I’m going to miss all this, let me be
brief. Thank you. To our members. To our Friends
of IREM. To Bob. To Meridythe. Especially to the
volunteers who did a little (and sometimes a lot) extra to keep our
chapter going. You know who you are, and for your hard work, I
am forever grateful.
Please attend
our November 13th luncheon. Not only will the new officers be
inducted, but we will have a brief entertainment segment to end the
year with a chuckle.
Best
regards,
Lou Nimkoff,
CPM, CCIM

Charity Golf Tournament Scores an
Ace!
The fourth
annual charity golf tournament to benefit the Arnold Palmer Hospital
for Women and Children had its best year to date. After all
expenses were paid out, the net dollars donated to the hospital this
year was $30,000. With the generous help of our corporate
sponsors this year, we were able to increase our donation to the
hospital by nearly four fold over last year. It was my
pleasure on behalf of the Chapter #60 to present a check to Ms.
Cheryl Collins at our September meeting. I want to thank
everyone who helped to make the tournament a success, with a special
thanks going to Traci Andrade, Highwoods Properties, Inc. and Peggy
Hunnings, McKinley Properties, for the outstanding job they did in
securing raffle prizes for the tournament. We will be out at
Champions Gate again next year, June 7th, a Friday. It will be
a morning start. I hope to see you all there next year.
Scott Pollock,
CPM Golf Tournament
Chairman
