 President's Message

Dear Members,

It's hard to believe that it is already March and Spring is just around the corner. One of the goals that our chapter established for itself nearly six months ago was to take an active role in heightening awareness of IREM and its credentials to those with whom we do business. Overwhelmingly, our membership has expressed a desire to see more promotion of the IREM organization and its designations so that more owners, investors and employers understand the value of the IREM credentials. It is hoped that with this increased awareness, they will actively seek out the services of our credentialed members which will lead to better business opportunities for all of us.

With this in mind, I want to alert you to be on the lookout for our local advertising campaign that will be running in the Orlando Business Journal in the coming months. We are scheduled to have island size ads (one size below full page) included in the April 7, July 7, September 1 publications as well as an ad in the special commercial real estate insert in October that is included in all of the business journals statewide! We hope that you see these ads, like them, and feel they help promote IREM so that others recognize the value of hiring its members.

On another note, as we look forward to our future plans, we have also made arrangements for our chapter to participate in a new community service program this year. On Saturday, September 23rd, all interested members of our chapter will have the opportunity to spend the morning working on a Habitat for Humanity house that is under construction. Please mark your calendars to save the date as it is sure to be a lot of fun! While we do not yet know exactly what we will be asked to do, we know that there are opportunities for all of us with varying levels of skills! Please look for additional details as the date draws nearer and I hope you will join us for a morning of fellowship and fun!

As always, if you have other ideas for us to consider that would make your membership in our chapter more meaningful, please do not hesitate to contact me or any other member of the board. We always love your input and ideas!

Enthusiastically,
Ann Reisch
President, Chapter 60
